How to Make Your Own Face And Body Care Products
There are so many different beauty care products in the stores today that it can be overwhelming. There are products that promise to make your hair shiny, soft, have more body, straight, curlier, smoother and so on.
You can find skin care products will help improve acne, moisturize your skin, tone your skin, and reduce puffiness under your eyes.
While I definitely have favorite face and body care products I buy from the store, women managed to deal with many of these issues before commercially prepared beauty products.
If you’re in a creative mood or you’re trying to keep your beauty budget in check, you may want to try a few homemade beauty products. Here are just a few homemade solutions you can try.
DIY hair conditioner
Soothing hair conditioner – Mix two drops of rosemary essential oil along with one teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil. Massage this mixture gently into your damp hair.
Let it sit in your hair with your hair wrapped in a towel for about thirty minutes. Rinse your hair with warm water to remove.
Rosemary essential oil will stimulate hair growth and the extra virgin olive oil will condition your hair and make it soft.
Homemade facial
Make your own facial – Mix one cup of plain yogurt, one cup of unflavored honey and a cucumber that has been liquefied in the blender. Yogurt is soothing and will help your skin look younger.
Honey has antimicrobial properties. Cucumber will help give the facial firmness and reduce puffiness.

DIY face scrub
Facial scrub – Mix one tablespoon yellow cornmeal, one tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and a few drops of lavender essential oil. Mix all of the ingredients to make a paste and use the mixture to gently scrub your skin. Remove with a soft, wet cloth.

I’ve made my own facial scrub since that’s about the easiest for me but I’d love to get more into it. I have to round up a few more ingredients and make sure I stick to it so it becomes routine. It’s so easy to just buy it sometimes.
That’s true, Deb, but homemade is so much better!
