Maybelline The Mega Plush Mascara Review

I’ve struggled with thin, sparse eyelashes for my entire life. My children were born with gorgeous dark, thick, long eyelashes that I have always wished I had.

Since I wasn’t blessed with thick, full lashes, I am always searching for the perfect mascara to make it look like I was. I’ve tried quite a few different mascaras, including the typical drug store brands and some of the higher-end versions.

My goal is to have natural-looking eyelashes. I am not interested in eyelashes that look like I’m wearing false eyelashes. And I don’t want a mascara that clumps and becomes brittle when I put it on. To me, that doesn’t look natural.

Maybelline The Mega Plush Mascara says it is a revolutionary gel-mousse formula that gives you a mega volume with no brittle feel.

Mega Plus Waterproof Mascara Review

The Mega Plush Mascara by Maybelline has a Flexor-Brush.  What does that mean? It means that there is a slight bend in the brush handle that gives the brush a bit of movement.

The package says that the brush caresses each lash and provides a full plush look. It is available in washable and waterproof formulas. I received the waterproof formula in Very Black (#275).

So what did I think?  The brush takes some getting used to if you are used to having the traditional straight, non-movable type of brush.

I’m not sure that I saw a full plush look to my lashes after two coats. But, it did give me that natural look that I love. My lashes didn’t feel stiff, and I saw no flaking either.

This mascara will definitely leave you with more natural-looking lashes. A non-bending brush would be easier to apply for me, but I’m sure once I use it a bit longer, I’ll get more used to it. You can find it in most mass retail and drug stores for about $8.

Finally, you can buy Maybelline The Mega Plush Mascara here.

  1. I like how this added thickness to define your existing lashes, without overextending the length. I’m a mascara addict, I can never stay put with one type or brand!
