When I heard about the Zoya Matte Velvet collection, I couldn’t wait to try it. Zoya polishes are always free of the big 5 bad ingredients. I love knowing that I can be stylish without damaging the environment with my buying decisions.
Zoya Matte Velvet Swatches
Zoya Matte Velvet is a 2014 limited edition collection. You can still find it on Amazon so act now if you’d like to add this to your collection. These shades give you all of the gorgeous color you want without the glossy shine. While the polishes do have a slight shimmer to them, they aren’t shiny. I think matte polishes are a great solution for the time you want to look put together without screaming “notice me!” This is the type of polish I’d wear to work or a business meeting.
Zoya Matte Velvet contains these six shades:
- Harlow – Matte orchid with a shimmer
- Loredana – Gunmetal grey with a silver shimmer
- Savita – Cool purple with a shimmer
- Dovima – Charcoal black with a shimmer
- Veruschka – Forest green with a shimmer
- Posh – Berry red with a shimmer
Because of the way that matte polishes are made, they are intended to be worn without a base or top coat. They also won’t wear as long as a traditional Zoya polish. I think that’s a fair trade off to get these gorgeous matte colors and I’m really starting to love matte more than shine right now.
I had a difficult time choosing which polish I liked the best. I’d say it’s a tie with Harlow and Posh. I really love the shimmer that they both have and the vibrant color is a great choice for winter.
