Are you looking for ways to care for your skin? Is the cold winter air making your skin dry and sensitive? Between the colder temperatures and the fact that we have the heater running 24/7, my skin is often dry and irritated during the winter. When you add menopause to the mix, my skin is in need of some serious attention. But, I need a skincare routine that is suitable for aging, sensitive skin and that can be a challenge.

Ways To Care For Your Skin
There are many ways to care for your skin. Some are more effective than others depending on your skin type and your age. These are the ways to care for your skin that work for me.
I have rosacea which means my skin is prone to redness, larger pores, and acne breakouts. I find that this daily face care routine helps to keep my skin from breaking out as often.
It also helps return the hydration and moisture to my skin and reduce sensitivity.
Cleanse
Cleanse your skin daily but never with soap. It is important to cleanse your skin every day but soap dries out your skin and can cause more irritation.
Try a cleanser that is made for skin that is prone to breakouts and sensitivity like the DDF Sensitive Skin Cleansing Gel.
Limit Exfoliation
Limit facial scrubs and exfoliating products to no more than once a week. Scrubs exfoliate your skin and remove dirt and dead skin cells. However, if you have sensitive skin, they can be especially irritating.
Moisturize
Moisturize your skin immediately after you cleanse it. Returning the moisture to your skin helps keep it soft and supple. Find the product that is right for you.
If you are prone to breakouts, find a moisturizer that won’t clog your pores and skip the fragrances.
Use Sunscreen
Protect your skin from the sun every day. Find a sunscreen that protects your skin from both the UVA and UVB rays.
There are many moisturizers on the market today that contain sunscreen. This makes it easier to not forget to use it every day.
Drink Water
Drink plenty of water. Water helps to remove the impurities from your body – your skin included. Replace several glasses of soda with water to help cleanse your body and your skin.
Try adding fresh fruit for a new taste.
