Finding stylish tops can be a bit of a challenge for me. I don’t want to look frumpy but I’m not into skin tight clothes and mini skirts either. I’m 47 and I have no interest in dressing like I’m 18.

My Style: Covered Perfectly
There are times that I feel like all the stylish clothes are made for teenagers and clothing manufacturers expect you to stop looking stylish once you’re over 40. I don’t want to worry about my shirts riding up or showing things I don’t want to show.

They have the length I want, and I look stylish and self-confident.

I’ve been stepping out of my comfort zone with clothes lately and moving away from solid black toward more vibrant colors and patterns. For the next top, I chose a patterned Houndstooth T-shirt. I have always wanted to wear hounds tooth but patterns intimidated me. So, I decided to take a chance and I am so glad that I did! I love the way this shirt looks and feels.
It’s a t-shirt so it’s really comfortable but the pattern makes it look so much dressier. I could easily wear this to a business meeting and no one would guess it was a t-shirt.

My fave is the black In Spirit by Mindy top since it has the 3/4 sleeve style I love and a nice subtle pattern on the side. I could wear this anywhere from a night out to yoga. It would match anything in my wardrobe too.

The houndstooth tee you’re wearing is adorable. You’re right; it’s dressy enough for work. I’d love to try the Wrap Over top in blue. It’s my school’s colors so I could wear it to work, plus I like the waistband at the bottom.

They have some cute tops. A lot of them look too old. I am older but still prefer cotton. I am not one to wear nylon or spandex blends.
I have many accessories in black and white houndstooth and just love the pattern. It’s a classic that will never go out of style. Your houndstooth tee here would match a purse and hat I have, and love the cut of the tee too.
