I’ll admit that when it comes to cream eyeshadows, I am a total novice. I feel most comfortable applying your traditional powder eyeshadow. However, when I heard about Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Color, I knew I had to get over my insecurities with cream eyeshadows.

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Color
This Eye Color is a long-wearing, creamy shadow with an innovative, lightweight texture that glides on and adheres to the eyelid perfectly, leaving an even finish that lasts for hours. There are 18 different color options for this product.
What colors does the caviar stick come in?
The newest six additions are:
- Burnished Bronze
- Peacock
- Moonlight
- Tuxedo
- Copper
- Gilded Gold
Each stick is long-wearing, transfer- and crease-resistant. That’s amazing news for me because I really like my eyeshadow to stay put when I apply it. I started with a eyeshadow primer first which is so important in hot, humid weather or if you have oily skin.
How to apply Laura Mercier Caviar Stick
Since the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick is in stick form, I can use it as either an eye liner or a cream eyeshadow. I love cosmetics that serve two purposes. The Laura Mercier Caviar Stick is so easy to use. You simply apply it using the stick and then smudge it with your fingertip or a makeup wedge. You can smudge several colors together to make a smokey eye look.
I received the eyeshadow in Gilded Gold and Copper. I went with a neutral eyeshadow and then used the stick as an eye liner to draw out the blue in my eyes.
You can see me wearing copper in the photograph, and I love the pop of color it added. Excuse the slightly windblown look. It was very easy to apply and I got great wear from it. I’ll definitely be getting more Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Color. Find it here.

I love metallics on the eyes, thanks for sharing your look, it’s lovely!
Thank you so much, Tina!
I love the touch of sparkle in the shadow and you look beautiful. Quite a twinkle in your eye.
Thanks, Patty! I love the way it turned out!
Being older I find that shine of a stick to be hard to execute for me. I think your choices might work for me because you seemed to stay with a light color palette.
I rarely go with dark or bright colors for that reason, Shelley, but I do like the way this looks.
I haven’t used cream eyeshadow much either, but these sticks do seem pretty simple. I love the colors you chose too – gold shadow is one of my favorites.
They really were easy to use, Rebekah!
That’s my kind of color – love this one and I like that it is a stick
Thanks, Lena! It’s so easy to use this way!
I love the look of these shadow sticks. They seem so easy to use and very flattering on you.
Thanks, Jenn! They are easy!
I don’t use powdered eye shadow much, mostly just a colored liner, if that. I do love the copper and golds though. They look good with my green eyes too.
Copper would be great with green, Deb!
I have never had good luck with any kind of a cream eyeshadow because of being able to control application from one eye to the other and creasing. But I really like the colors. My fave part of your look is your lip color!
Thanks, Robin! The lipgloss is MAC Lipgloss Viva Glam VI
I like that these colors are more mature; I wouldn’t feel like Katy Perry wearing something bold and glittery. Definitely something I would try.
Totally understand the feeling, Dede!
