Hello Kitty Charmmy Eyeshadow Stick

So I have a weakness for everything kawaii from writing paper to clothes to cosmetics. Kawaii is Japanese for cute and generally refers to brands like Sanrio which licenses characters like Hello Kitty. Don’t be misled though, Hello Kitty cosmetics aren’t for children. They are an adult line of cosmetics.  Mac even has their own line of Hello Kitty cosmetics.

Hello Kitty Charmmy Eyeshadow Stick Review

I recently got four of the Hello Kitty Charmmy Eyeshadow Sticks from a friend.  You can find them at Sephora. There are fourteen different shades in total but the ones I got are Fish Bowl, Sour Apple, Cream Puff, and Overalls. The Hello Kitty Charmmy eyeshadow stick is a pearlescent cream eyeshadow stick. This stick is an all purpose eyeshadow stick. You can use it as a base for another powder style eyeshadow or you can use it alone if you want a better pop of color.

If you use it as a base, it will help your powder style eyeshadow last a bit longer.  If you plan on using it alone, it does have a tendency to crease a bit. The second time I wore it, I wore it with an eyeshadow primer and did not see any creasing.

I love how easy this is to apply.  The Hello Kitty Charmmy Eyeshadow Stick is in a pen style so you twist it up to get more eyeshadow. I really do like the pen style much better than pencils you have to sharpen. It applies very smoothly to your lid with no tugging or  pulling which gives you a nice, even application. If you have a steady hand, you can even use these as an eyeliner.

A big plus for me is the fact that this is Hello Kitty but even if I weren’t a Hello Kitty fan, I would love the quality of these eyeshadow sticks. Of the colors I received, I think that the Cream Puff is my favorite because it is a very light lavender/pink. The Fish Bowl and Overalls, I will probably only use as an eyeliner since blue eyeshadow on blue eyes is not quite my thing. I’d really like to get Kimono (purple) and Cotton Candy (plum) as I think they’d be perfect with my coloring.
