Bridesmaid Boxes Ideas
What do bridesmaids really want for gifts? That’s the question that I’ve heard so many brides ask when planning their wedding.
Of course, you want to give them a gift that they’ll truly love. But, you want to include some type of unique or custom handmade pieces that remind them of your special day.
Who doesn’t love to receive a gift? I know that I do. So, your first question should be how will you get your bridesmaid boxes to your attendant?
One of the reasons people use these personalized boxes is to ask “Will you be my bridesmaid?” They can be used for friends that you see regularly or long-distance friends you may not see as often.
This product presentation was made with AAWP plugin.
What do bridesmaids really want for gifts?
This really depends on the person and there are so many unique ideas you can consider. Here are a few of my top picks.
- A silk robe or pajamas
- Necklace or charm bracelet
- Pampering products
- Sweet treats
- Candles or aromatherapy gifts
What should be in a bridesmaid proposal box?
Ideally, you want a selection of gifts that they’ll enjoy along with a small personalized item with their name on it. And, don’t forget to include a sweet note asking them to hold this special role in your wedding.
Some people choose to have their name on the outside of the box. Others include a personalized note inside along with a gift like a monogrammed necklace or bracelet.
Either way is acceptable. It really depends on where you’ll be getting it from. You can order a personalized box that is custom-made for each person. Or, you can get a box from somewhere like Amazon and add the note yourself.
The more personalized the box is, the more it will cost. So keep your budget in mind when making your choice. There is nothing wrong with choosing a smaller box and adding your own handwritten note.
Should they be gift wrapped?
Again, it depends on the type of box. If you are using a plain white box, you can certainly wrap it in pretty floral gift wrapping paper.
But, if you’re creating the bridesmaid proposal box in a beautiful embossed box, there is no reason to cover that up with wrapping paper. Instead, consider a silk ribbon with a bow.
DIY proposal gift box on a budget
Another option is to create your proposal box on your own. This way you know exactly what you’re adding and can be sure that your friend will love the contents.
The first thing you will need is a large box to hold the contents. You can choose either square or round. Or, you can order them along with the gifts right here.
You can choose a box that matches your wedding colors. Or, you can get a white box and customize the contents inside. If you haven’t completely chosen your wedding colors yet, you can certainly go with white.
Once you have the box selected, you will want to choose shredded paper for the inside of the box. Again, choose white or one of the wedding colors.
Here are a few things that you can add to your bridesmaid boxes if you’re budget-conscious.
- Scented votive candles
- Silk eye mask
- Bath salts
- Nail polish
- Hair scrunchies
- Lip gloss
- Herbal tea
- Bracelet
- Small succulent plant
- Makeup bag
- Bath bomb
- Keychain
What should I put on the top of bridesmaid boxes?
- A photograph of the two of you together
- Their name in fancy script
- A big silk bow or ribbon
How much should you spend on a bridesmaid proposal?
There is really no set amount that you have to spend. This is an option nice touch that your bridesmaid will appreciate. I’ve seen very cute ideas in the $25 range and super expensive ideas that cost closer to $200.
Typically, if you order something customized and delivered, you will be spending around $100 on a bridesmaid box. If you are open to creating the box yourself and hand delivering it, you can keep your budget lower.
Choose a gift that you think your attendees will appreciate without blowing your entire wedding budget.
