Pumpkin Spice Body Butter

If you’re looking for a thick winter body butter recipe, this is it. Winter dries out my skin so much. And, it seems like no matter how much hand lotion I use, it just doesn’t help.

This makes a wonderful gift idea for anyone on your list this year. You can put it in a pretty glass jar and tie it with a ribbon to dress it up Then, just add a candle and a pair of slippers and they are set for a pampering evening.

The smells of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger are everywhere during the fall. You can find them in your favorite baked goods, candles shops, and lattes. So, why not bring one into your pampering routine.

Does pumpkin spice have pumpkin?

So, the traditional scent is actually a combination of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger. That’s the spice combination used in your favorite pie and it’s what’s usually in scented products.

What types of oils should I use?

If you want to keep this natural, opt for essential oils rather than fragrance oils. You will need to have cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and ginger.

You can use this pumpkin pie essential oil to get the best combination. Or, if you use oils a lot, you can invest in each separate scent.

Do I need a food processor to make this?

This pumpkin spice body butter is whipped to give it a lighter consistency. You don’t need to use a food processor. You can get the same results by using a hand mixer.

If you don’t have either, you can simply mix the ingredients to combine them. But, the final product won’t be as light and fluffy as if you whipped it first.

Can I add honey to my body butter?

You definitely can. Honey helps add moisture to your skin. And, it has antibacterial properties. If you suffer from skin irritations, it may be beneficial to use it in this body butter recipe.
