If you’re considering the Prosonic Glow, keep reading for my thoughts on alternatives for the Prosonic Cleansing and Exfoliation System. Drab, dull, lifeless skin. Is that what you see when you look in the mirror? if so, I can relate!

Prosonic Cleansing and Exfoliation System
I know as I age, my skin loses some of that youthful glow I used to have. Dead skin cells build up and the loss of hormones means a loss of moisture in my skin. Combine that with years of exposure to the sun and the end result is drab, dull, lifeless skin that makes me look older than I like.
Exfoliation helps remove dead skin cells and make my skin vibrant again. And, that’s where using a Prosonic Cleansing and Exfoliation System like the Prosonic Glow can help. The Prosonic Glow is currently unavailable, but the Clarisonic is very similar. Check it out here.
The Prosonic Cleansing and Exfoliation System is six times more effective at removing dirt, makeup, and oil than cleansing your face and body with your hands or washcloth. It promotes better absorption and penetration of skin care products due to cleaner skin.
This is so important to me. Why spend all that money on buying anti-aging products if the benefits are not actually being absorbed into your skin properly?
I originally posted this review in 2014. The Prosonic Glow and other products are not currently available. But, I have a few alternatives.
What does the Prosonic Glow exfoliate?
Of course, we all know to exfoliate our face but how many of us know to exfoliate our body as well? After the long Vermont winter, my knees, elbows, and feet need some serious pampering.
I often have dry skin patches that would be helped with gentle exfoliation. The Prosonic Cleansing and Exfoliation System has three different speeds and includes three complimentary brush heads, a botanical cleanser, and a microdermabrasion cream.
It is gentle enough to be used on all skin types and is waterproof and rechargeable. There are many similar facial exfoliating systems available today. You can buy them on Amazon.
Prosonic Cleansing and Exfoliation System review
I decided to see how the Prosonic Cleansing and Exfoliation System worked to smooth away some of my rough skin. First, you wet the brush head and apply a bit of the botanical cleanser.
I really like that you can use this with any cleanser you have and not only their brand. You move the brush around in a circular pattern and let it glide over your skin surface.
There are three different speeds. I found the slow speed to be the most comfortable for me.
Which Prosonic brush is best?
I used the body brush first to clean the area. There are also brush heads for normal skin and sensitive skin if you were to use this on your face. The system also includes a pumice stone to use on dry/rough skin.
After I used the body brush, I switched to the pumice stone and used it just a little bit to remove the dry skin. I was very impressed with how gentle the system was even when using the pumice stone.
I have plantar fasciitis so my heels are very sensitive and I had no issues at all using the Prosonic Cleansing and Exfoliation System.
What is the Prosonic Glow?
Powered by the patented sonic and multi-directional pulsation technology, the 3-speed Prosonic brush oscillates at a high frequency and massages, stretches, twists, and pushes the skin.
The effect of this brush action is deep facial and body cleansing and exfoliation that is 6 times more effective at removing dirt, makeup, oily patches, and skin impurities than washing your face with your hands or washcloth.
Cleanses and exfoliates deeply at the same time, leading to younger-looking skin that looks and feels healthier, cleaner, softer, and smoother. Helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, while removing dead skin cells and promoting healthy skin cell growth.
It helps clear away dirt within the pores and visibly reduces the appearance of large pores, and removes blackheads.
Clarisonic versus the Prosonic Glow
If you’re wondering about the Clarisonic versus the Prosonic Glow, I have used both. The Prosonic Glow and other varieties are not currently available that I can see. If you’re looking for an exfoliating face brush, the Clarisonic is a great choice. It offers more styles and more brush attachments than any other system I have seen.
If you need to refresh your skin for spring and summer, I definitely recommend an exfoliating face brush system. Check them out on Amazon.
