Wondering about the best wedding dress for a beach wedding? I have always loved the idea of a beach wedding. I loved it so much that when Marty and I got married, we got married on the beach at a lake near our home. There is nothing more romantic than an outdoor wedding. I love the beautiful breeze, the blue sky and the waves lapping against the sand. It just made our day even more special.
Best Wedding Dress for a Beach Wedding
Of course, when you are considering the best wedding dress for a beach wedding, it’s important to think about whether or not you’ll be standing in the sand or on a boardwalk.
What do you wear to get married on the beach?
If you have a train or your wedding gown touches the sand, you may have some damage to the hem. For those that are concerned about that, choose a beach wedding gown that is ankle length or tea length. If it’s not a concern, go ahead and choose a dress with a long train.
What do you wear to a summer beach wedding?
I’m partial to the mermaid style of wedding dress. If you’re not familiar with it. It hugs your hips and thighs and then flares out closer to the knees. A mermaid style wedding dress would work perfectly in a beach wedding especially if you carry on the mermaid or beach theme with your decor.
Of course, not everyone has the figure for a mermaid style dress. If that concerns you, you can certainly opt for an A-line or column dress that hides a few more imperfections than a mermaid style dress.
What to wear to a wedding on the beach
If you’re planning on a wedding on the beach, your options are unlimited. The important things to remember are that you need shoes that won’t sink in the sand. And, you need a dress that is short enough to not drag in the sand. Or, you need to not worry about sand and water damage.
If you’re interested in designer beach wedding dresses, this A-line organza dress is gorgeous. If you are hoping for cheap beach wedding dresses, try this bohemian wedding dress.
