My Style: Getting Back into Style

Last Updated on June 9, 2022 by Ellen Christian

After a very long, very cold winter where I wasn’t really able to go outside and take photographs of what I was wearing, the snow has finally melted revealing my backyard. While it’s a bit on the muddy side and covered with sticks that I need my son to pick up, at least the ground is visible again.   I’m going to try very, very hard to do regular outfit posts. Keep in mind that I am your average mom and while my tastes run to Michael Kors, my budget runs more toward TJ Maxx.  I may dream of cocktail parties and little black dresses but my busy schedule tends to keep me more in jeans and athletic shoes.

Getting Back into Style

Today I am heading out for lunch and shopping with my Mom so it’s a casual, comfortable day.  It’s actually sunny and in the 50’s here in Vermont so a lightweight jacket works wonderfully. I’m so happy that I don’t need to cover up with my big bulky winter jacket and snow boots today. Marty takes most of my photographs and I think this one came out pretty well.

Jeans: Denizen – TJ Maxx

T-shirt: Tresics Femme – TJ Maxx

Necklace: Fused glass – Etsy

Sneakers: Dansko -Santa Fe – Shayla Blue Nubuck

Jacket: Sunice – Women’s Jacket Black

My style 04-11-2014 shopping vintage

We stopped at the cutest little vintage shop in the city. They had a whole wall full of fun Coca Cola products. Of course, I spent more time checking out the Limoge china and came home with a gorgeous tea cup that I’ll be relaxing with later on.  They also had tons of jewelry that I was seriously tempted by. I’ll definitely be heading back next month to do more shopping.  The owner even mentioned that they have occasional tea parties. I am on the list for the next one.
