Glossybox is a premium beauty subscription box that features high end beauty products.  Delivered monthly, Glossybox only offers items from the very best brands. You won’t find any drug store or mass retail brands in this beauty subscription box.   I always feel pampered and excited when my Glossybox arrives each month.

Glossybox Review March 2014

The March 2014 Glossybox featured six items. What I received was slightly different than what the card enclosed said I was going to receive. I am not sure if others received the same items I did or what the card said would be included.

I received:

1.  Alterna Hair Care BAMBOO Volume Plumping Strand Expand .85 fl oz

A thickening lotion that strengthens, moisturizes, and adds volume to the hair from root to tip. Hair appears fuller and never weighed down.  Full size is 4 fl oz and retails $22.00

My thoughts:

After using only a very small amount of this, I definitely noticed more body when I styled my hair.  It is very lightweight and has a soft pleasant smell. An added benefit is that it uses eco-certified ingredients that are free of parabens, phthalates, gluten, synthetic color, mineral oil and petroleum.

2.  Sisley Paris Black Rose Cream Mask .38 oz

The first Sisley mask enriched with anti-aging active ingredients. A skincare mask rich in trace elements, vitamins and plant extracts, specially formulated to act instantly on the signs of aging and fatigue to rejuvenate skin and restore vitality. Full size is 2.1 oz and retails $158.00

My thoughts:

Absolutely love the soft rose scent.  Loved the way this cream felt on my skin.  It did leave it with a light tingly feeling after a few minutes so I did not wait the full 15 minutes it recommends.  It wipes off easily and left my skin feeling soft and hydrated.

3.  Nails inc Brook Street Nail Polish – Flammable .13 oz

Looking forward to spring? Skip ahead to warmer times by wearing this bright, summery coral. Nails inc polishes are professionally formulated for a long lasting, super glossy, flawless finish. Full size is .33 oz and retails $9.50

My thoughts:

A very fun summer color.  It took two coats to get a full, vibrant color. Love the shine. Will definitely be looking for more of this brand.

4.  Alex and Ani Scent 7 Hand Cream 2.4 oz

Refresh damaged dry skin with the purifying Scent 7 Hand Cream. A hydrating formula that will transform the appearance of your skin, this moisturizer maintains a perfect balance as it incorporates a harmonious alchemy of blended essential oils.

My thoughts:

This is listed as a soap bar in the paperwork and on the photograph.  Love that this product is full size.  Alex and Ani has lovely products and this was no exception.  A little bit goes a long was as far as the scent goes but definitely left my hands feeling soft and smooth.

An added bonus, I received a super cute Alex and Ani Charm Bangle ($28) with a swan on it.  Perfect for summer weather.

5. Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush Moisturizing Lip Stain

A moisturizing lip stain that tints your lips with just the right amount of juicy colour and hydrates like a balm.

My thoughts:

This is not listed on the paperwork or shown in the photograph. It appears to take the place of a liplift peel which is great because I doubt I would use that.  This is a fun pink color and it’s cruelty free. It went on easily and definitely gave me a lasting color without feeling tacky on at all. I’m not familiar with this brand but I definitely love it.
