I’m trying to get out of my routine of wearing blue jeans and a t-shirt daily. Since I work at home, I no longer need to get dressed up to go to the office.

My Style: Colorful Florals & Bright Blues
Where I used to wear a dress or a pair of slacks and a shirt, I now wear jeans almost exclusively unless I am going out somewhere or I am traveling. It’s hard to look really amazing in a fashion post wearing jeans and a t-shirt so I decided that it was time to dress up my wardrobe a bit.
Since I generally don’t go out every day except to run the kids around, I knew that I wanted to stick to comfortable pants rather than a dress or a skirt. It just doesn’t seem practical to dress up quite that much when I’ll be at home all day. I love these cute floral skinny pants from Light in the Box because they are comfortable like a pair of jeans but dressy enough to make me feel like I’m not wearing the same old thing.
Because the pants are so bold with the floral design, I wanted to dress down the rest of my outfit so that it wasn’t too much. I paired it with a dark blue shirt with three quarter sleeves since the weather is starting to cool down a bit. To bring a bit of color to the shirt, I added a red beaded necklace that I got over the summer.
I wanted the shoes to be comfortable and since the outfit is a bit dressier, I ruled out my sneakers 🙂 Since summer is just about over, I knew I didn’t want to go with sandals. I had these cute lace up boots that were just perfect. I wanted a bold color handbag to go with the outfit and this gorgeous blue crossbody from Olivia + Joy was perfect. The strap is removable just in case I want to use it as a clutch instead. For this outfit, a crossbody was perfect.

I think this is definitely one of my favorite looks yet!
