The holidays call for a little bit of glitter and glam. I admit that with the hustle and bustle of the busy holiday season, I haven’t been polishing my nails as often as I should.

A fresh coat of polish just seems to get pushed down lower on my list of things to do. It comes somewhere after wrapping presents and baking holiday cookies. Now that Christmas is over, I can take a deep breath and regroup.

With the New Year, comes a new resolution not to put me-time at the end of the list. It’s not easy. As a career woman, it’s difficult to balance family, home and career responsibilities and still have time left for pampering. I’ve got a new planner that will help me make sure that my goals are balanced in 2014.

One of the first things I did was to reward myself with a new coat of polish. Since I was in a festive mood, I decided to go with SinfulColors Glittery in Pink. Glittery in Pink is one of the SinfulColors Sheer Lustre Glitter Topcoat shades. SinfulColors Sheer Lustre Glitter Topcoat shades are designed to be worn over another SinfulColors shade although I think they have enough bling to wear on their own if you layer several coats of polish.

Choose from six sheer glittery topcoats designed to transform your fave shades to instant glitz and glam:

  • 24 Karat: Gold Gilt
  • Diamonds Are Forever: Silver confetti
  • Top Me Off: Prismatic Frills
  • Girls Best Friend: Pink Baubles
  • Sapphired Up: Turquoise glitz
  • Glittery in Pink: Psychedelic Blush

To get good coverage from the SinfulColors Sheer Lustre Glitter Topcoat without a base polish, I used three coats.  Since these shades have lots of glitter flakes, I topped the entire thing with a clear coat to prevent the glitter from flaking off.  I got tons of compliments on the sparkle of my Glittery in Pink polish as I was out running errands.

  1. I saw these the other day, the glitter is just so vibrant; a great top coat for any color, or even a light base coat ad you have here. I love this brand of lacquer!

  2. I love Sinful Colors! They’re affordable and formaldehyde free, unlike their drugstore counterparts and versus their expensive beauty store or department store counterparts.  Maybe I’ll make 2014 a year of pretty! I’ve been plain jane for the past 5+ years. It’s time to get back to girly sophistication!
