Pampering Bath Products
Have you ever thought about making your own pampering bath products? My relaxation time at the end of the night is something that I look forward to quite a bit.
I have a cup of chamomile tea and either watch a movie with my husband or read a book. Sometimes on particularly stressful nights, I will take a bubble bath and light a scented candle because that’s truly relaxing!
There are lots of pampering bath products in the stores, but a lot of them have questionable ingredients. This DIY Lullaby Oil is something you can make with just a few simple ingredients you probably already have on hand because it’s that easy.
Products to pamper yourself
If you’re wondering what types of products you can pamper yourself, the list is probably endless because there are so many to choose from. You can make your own bubble bath, sugar lip scrub, or homemade salt scrub.
Most homemade pampering products use essential oils to help you relax. My favorite scents are lavender, chamomile and rose. Check out this DIY Lullaby Oil that you can add to your bath. It’s one of the easiest pampering bath products recipes I’ve found.
DIY Lullaby Oil
So, the scent of lavender and chamomile has been proven to be as effective for inducing drowsiness as sleep medications, and bonus… no harmful side effects!
Add a tablespoon of this oil to your evening bath or massage into your skin at bedtime and you’ll be sure to have sweet dreams! Using pampering bath products before bedtime can help you relax.
Materials
1 chamomile tea bag (make sure they’re 100% chamomile flowers)
1⁄2 c. sweet almond oil
6 drops of lavender essential oil
Directions
1. Place the chamomile tea bag in a small saucepan. Pour sweet almond oil over the tea bag and gently warm the oil for a few minutes being careful to NOT BOIL because that will harm the scent.
2. Next, allow the oil to cool and remove tea bag; add lavender essential oil. The lavender is truly what makes pampering bath products so relaxing.
3. Pour the mixture into a clean bottle with a tight-fitting lid. Add a stem or two of dried lavender if you wish to “make it pretty”. Finally, if you hope to give pampering bath products as a gift, you can purchase decorative jars. Because who doesn’t need pampering bath products?
So, this DIY Lullaby Oil is just the thing to use after a stressful day. Or, make up a bottle and give it as a gift for your best friend or your mom. Finally, remember that pampering bath products make great gift ideas for teachers too!
