New PANTONE Colors – Minion Yellow
The PANTONE Matching System is a proprietary system used in various industries, including fashion. It’s a color-matching system that allows different manufacturers to reference a PANTONE-numbered color when creating things. That way, designers, manufacturers, and printers all reference the same color.
Each year, new PANTONE colors are announced. In 2015, Minion Yellow joined the PANTONE Color list. Minion Yellow is based on the Minions from Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment’s Despicable Me global film franchise.
This includes the upcoming prequel Minions. PANTONE Minion Yellow is an illuminating, energetic, friendly, fun-loving yellow shade that immediately calls out to you.

You are the first person that has explained to me just what/how the Pantene colors are. I have heard of them and the “newest” colors, but honestly had no idea. I think the color is really pretty, but yellow isn’t a great color on me.
