The holidays can be a whirlwind time of parties and entertaining, and I always want to look my best for each event. I don’t have time for a trip to the salon or the spa before each party so thankfully there are things I can do at home to look mistletoe ready.

How to Look Your Best This Holiday Season
I’m very excited to share that Joe Zee, Editor in Chief of Yahoo Style, author and host Joe Zee, has put together these personalized tips for you to look your best this holiday season along with a video just for my readers. Check out the tips below and be sure to watch the video! The visit Walmart.com for everything you need to look your best during the holidays.
Make a Statement
To be mistletoe moment-ready, have some fun and step out of your comfort zone this holiday season. Look for a statement piece – maybe one you typically wouldn’t normally wear – a funky jacket, a big piece of jewelry or a bold tie – and add it to that holiday outfit. This is the fastest way to add pizazz to your look. It’s also an easy way to take a look from day to night which is important during the busy holiday season.
Start with Your Favorites
You know what makes you feel good about how you look. Wear that and play it up. Throw on that pair of shoes or that specific skirt that gives you confidence and always makes you feel like a million bucks and make it your signature piece for the holidays!
Let it Shine
What better time than the holiday season to embrace the sparkle in you. Metallics and shine are a huge trend right now, both for day and night, so why not add some sparkle to your everyday look. Try a sequin trimmed t-shirt with that pencil skirt or add a metallic belt and shoes to that natural look. Don’t forget to dazzle with your smile. For that mistletoe-ready smile check out Crest 3D White Professional Effects Whitestrips and the Oral-B 7000 Electric Toothbrush with Bluetooth. It connects with your phone to give real-time feedback on brushing!
Layer Your LBD
Take a simple staple, like a little black dress, and turn it into something new for each occasion. Consider it a blank slate that you can dress up or down with layers, fabric textures, and awesome accessories. Try layering a blouse or even a turtleneck underneath (for that 60s look which is so on trend!) and even belting a jacket or sweater over it. (I’m a big fan of layering. Not only is it stylish, but it’s also warm!)
Go Big or Go Small
There’s a saying that “women shop and men just buy.” But there’s no reason that the guys can’t also love the part this holiday season. Guys, don’t be afraid to have some fun with your wardrobe this season as well. You can embrace trends by going all out or just have a small nod to it (I like to call this tip-toeing into the trend). If color isn’t your thing, why not have a pop of it with your tie or your pocket handkerchief but if you’re feeling bold, then the holidays are the perfect time to branch out and try a colored jacket mixed with a solid pant. It’s all about the mix and match. (I’m more of a go small person, but you can still have fun with your wardrobe by adding accent pieces!)
Look the Part from Head to Toe
Being well-groomed is just as important as what you wear during the holidays. Be sure to have a fresh shave before you head out so you’ll be ready for your big mistletoe moment! The Gillette Fusion ProShield Chill with lubrication before and after the blades shields from irritation and ensures you’re ready for your mistletoe moment! (Just say no to razor burn.)
Inside and Out
Fashion isn’t just about what you wear on the outside, but it’s also about how you feel. Take time to pamper yourself before the event. Reflect on how you want the holidays to unfold, don’t just let them happen. This will make sure you’re at your very best. Take a luxurious bath and leave time for grooming, ladies! The Venus Swirl Razor contours over curves for flawless skin. (Ladies. Don’t skip the shaving part. You never know!)

I definitely think the guys in my life need to do more ‘shopping’ and not just buying but not sure how to get them to do it!
I feel the same way, Diane!
Ah the Crest White Strips. I totally forgot I had some left and I could use a whiter smile thanks to my avid tea and coffee consumption! I think my hair could stand the most makeover magic and I’m set to do something (not quite sure what) this weekend. The gray definitely has to go though. The season’s festivities are a sure motivator to change things up.
That’s so true, Deb. I hate the grey hair too!
