I love the way these Teal Mini Polka Dot Jamberry decals look! So you’ve probably figured out by now that I have a thing for nail polish. I love wearing the latest colors and I change my polish regularly. I have tried a few times to do fun designs on my nails but I’m far from an expert. But, I was recently sent some samples from Jamberry Nails to try and wanted to share with you my experience.
Jamberry Nails – Teal Mini Polka
So, what are Jamberry Nails? Jamberry Nails are non-toxic, vinyl-based nail shields. They are sort of like stickers for your nails that come in super cool designs and you use instead of nail polish.
They last up to two weeks on your nails which is definitely longer than my nail polish lasts. And, you can use Jamberry for short nails very easily.
How do I use Jamberry Nails?
Of course, they really aren’t stickers. You basically start with a clean, dry nail that has no polish on it. You shape and buff your nail and push back the cuticle. Then you find a Jamberry Nail shield that matches the shape of the nail you want to apply it to.
Using your hairdryer, you warm the nail shield until it is flexible. Then you apply it to the nail and apply firm pressure. Trim carefully and apply heat again to seal it to the nail.
Are Jamberry Decals hard to use?
This is how my nails normally look but I removed the polish from one nail to try out Jamberry Nails. They took a bit of getting used to in order to apply them.
I think after a couple of tries I managed pretty well. I think I still have a bubble or two in there that I didn’t get out completely but with a bit more practice I’m sure I’ll have it down.
This Jamberry heater makes it so much easier to use them.
The pattern shown in my top photo is their Teal Mini Polka and you can purchase a whole set from their site right now. They have some super cute Jamberry Nails Halloween designs on their site right now that I am so tempted by.
I think I need to practice a bit more. But, you can check out my Jamberry nails pics in this post. For a beginner, I think they turned out well.
How do I make your design?
This is a super easy nail design. It will work with any color nail polish you have on hand. But, if you want to make my design this is what you need.
- Butter London Fruit Machine
- Lex Cosmetics Arcoiris (this is similar)

I’ve seen these all over the place and people seem to really like them. I have no nails to speak of – making soap is not good on the hands. I do like some of the cute patterns that they offer.
Me too, Patty! Such cute patterns!
Patty – They actually look GREAT on short nails! I don’t know how harsh making soap is, but they’re pretty tough!
Ellen, glad you liked them. They do take a bit of getting used to, but after that they are SUPER fast!
I just ordered my first set of Jamberry nails and I can’t wait to try them! I plan on using them as a pedicure so that I can learn the quirks of them. Thank you for explaining how to use them as I had no clue.
I want to try a pedicure next, Brandy! So much fun!
I love Butter London cosmetics, their lacquer always wears so well. I’ve been meaning to check out the newest Jambery styles, thanks for the inspiration!
Always glad to share, Jenna!
I’ve never been much of an nail polish girl but I’ve been trying lately just because I like the way it looks with my long nails! I’ve tried Jamberry Nails before but for someone who is seriously uncoordinated, it didn’t work very well. LOL
I need more practice too, Kayla!
These are so festive – love the bold colors
They have some super cute designs!
Love the combination of colors and textures. Super cute. I need to try these.
They really do have some fun styles!
Butter London….love that polish! I haven’t tried Jamberry nails before but I have been thinking about buying some for my nieces.
I bet she’d love the fun designs!
