Learning how to relax naturally after a stressful day has helped me have a calmer evening. After a long day at work, the kids, the house, etc. I just felt like I was so anxious that I couldn’t relax. My preference is to use natural techniques like lavender first when looking for solutions.

How to Relax Naturally
For me, relaxation is both mental and physical. I not only needed to soothe away the stress and aches in my body, but I needed to find a way to eliminate the stress I was feeling psychologically too. Using a variety of products that include lavender has worked wonderfully for me.
How do I calm my nerves?
The first step is to admit that you are anxious or nervous and to identify why. Once that’s done, close your eyes and practice slow, deep breathing. This is the first step in learning how to relax naturally. Change your focus from your problem to something else. You can do this by listening to music, by meditating or by visualizing yourself having solved the problem positively.
How can I release stress naturally?
There are lots of ways to release stress naturally. You’ll need to experiment to find the one that works best for you. You may want to consider exercise, reducing your caffeine intake, lavender tea like this organic lavender tea, or a natural soy candle with lavender essential oil. Some people have success in journalling their emotions and feelings. Or, check out these bath bombs instructions and make your own.
How can I relax my mind?
One of my favorite herbs for relaxation is lavender. There are lots of different ways you can use it to relax naturally. For a relaxing bath time try using lavender body care products. Or, if you prefer a shower over a bath, you can use aromatherapy shower tablets. Before bed, spritz your pillow with a bit of lavender linen spray
Of course, if you prefer, you can make your relaxing lavender bath and body products using lavender essential oil. Just be very certain you choose lavender essential oil and not lavender fragrance oil that is not the same thing. There are many ways you can use essential oil in your beauty routine.
There are many different ways to relax so you’ll need to experiment to find which works best for you. I enjoy relaxing music, journal writing, yoga and going for long walks in the woods. Depending on the day, I have more or less success with each method. You will need to try a few different techniques to see which you most prefer.
In addition to lavender, some people find that including chamomile works to help them relax when they feel stress or even right before bed to fall asleep. Which of these methods works the best for you when you need to rest?
