With summer here, we are all probably spending more time outside in the sun. I know that I certainly spend more time outside when the weather is nice and sunny. Because I have a fair complexion, I tend to burn very easily. Unlike when I was younger and slathered myself in baby oil, I know that getting a dark tan or burn is not good for my skin. I take care to protect myself from the damaging rays of the sun.

While I do use sunscreen, I really don’t like putting it on my face. I have very sensitive skin and I’m prone to rosacea which means I am prone to redness and break outs. There’s no way I can not use some kind of sun protection on my face which means I generally wear a hat of some sort. Baseball caps are totally useless in protecting me from a sunburn. The brim is just not large enough and it is only in the front.
Dorfman Pacific is one of the largest full-line in stock headwear companies in the world so it shouldn’t surprise you to find out that they carry sun protection hats. Their 2012 collection features a variety of striking styles and colors with brims up to 7 inches! You can find solids, stripes and patterns in a choice of silhouettes and materials. You will definitely find the perfect hat for your style and budget.
The Scala Collezione Brand Style LC511 pictured above is feminine, chic and functional with a 4 inch brim and an external bow that actually works as a tie to make this one size fits all. It’s flexible enough to wear when you’re out gardening or working in the yard as well as with a cute sundress. It’s available in turquoise, white, natural, tan and black and offers sun protection UPF 50!
The Tres Jolie featured above can be purchased for $30 BUT if you use the code SunHatSave20, you can save 20% and get this hat for only $24! The offer is good only until June 30, 2012 so don’t wait!

I have one of these hats and love it. Even got one for my mom. She can’t have much sun exposure, her eczema flairs up. Great review. Love your shirt!
I love the hat. Super cool and fashionable.
Looks great. I keep saying I have to get myself one of these for working in the gardnen.
Those are so cute! I’m going to the beach next week and really need a hat! I’m going to look into them!

I always think hats look so cute until I put them on. But love the blue color and if I looked good in hats I would certainly be checking this one out.
