Thierry Mugler and Azzaro

As much as I love fragrance, it should come as no surprise that I also enjoy scent on my husband. With Father’s Day fast approaching, this is the perfect time for me to check out some new fragrances for men. I recently had the opportunity to enjoy two new fragrances.

Thierry Mugler is one of my all time favorite brands of fragrance. I had no idea he had fragrances for men so I was excited to see what his new fragrance A*Men Pure Shot  would be like. A*Men Pure Shot is inspired by the athlete Oscar Pistorious.  It’s a fragrance intended to inspire men in their desire to surpass themselves.

A*Men Pure Shot has three phases:

  • The Boost: Freezing mint combined with juniper bay
  • The Adrenaline: Spicy white pepper
  • The Achievement: Sequoia wood and patchouli
This is by far one of my new favorites for Marty.  It’s got a woodsy scent with a hint of spice. It wears well but is not at all overpowering.  Definitely a yummy fragrance for guys.

The second fragrance I had the opportunity to try is Chrome by Azzaro.  This is a completely new fragrance brand to me.  It’s inspired by the bond between Loris Azzaro and his grandson and launched in 1996.  It has a woody freshness with a hint of water notes. 
 
Phases are:
 
  • Grapefruit tinged with cardamom
  • Green aquatic
  • Rosewood and ambergis

 

Water notes are some of my favorite types of scents. Most of the fragrances I choose for myself are water notes. They are very fresh & clean and I really enjoy them.  Chrome by Azzaro is definitely a fresh, clean scent and I’d almost classify it as a summer scent due to the combination.  Either way, it smells delicious on Marty!

  4. Chrome Azzaro is really an amazing perfume! Very sexy on a man! 😉 The other one I am not too familiar with but I will get a “sniff” (lol) next time I go to the department store!
