I’m using this healthy candle in pure vanilla to help scent our home during the holiday season. In the warm weather, we open the windows and enjoy the fresh air. But, in the winter, when the house is closed up, the air can feel stagnant. We do use natural scents from citrus peels and cinnamon sticks at times, but lighting a candle gives off a certain ambiance that potpourri just doesn’t have. A product was provided for this post. The Healthy Candle in Pure Vanilla
Many of the candles you buy at the grocery store or mass retailer are artificially scented and contain hazardous chemicals, dyes and other things I’d rather not breathe. LAVANILA’s new hand-poured candle is beautifully made with 100% natural soybean wax. Healthy, clean and soot free, this candle uses a lead-free cotton wick and high-grade fragrance oils that deliver a burn time of approximately 50 hours. Simple and modern, the reusable mason jar packaging is beautiful and made to complement every design style with no added dyes or chemicals.
I still remember lighting a candle years ago in our newly painted bathroom and having the candle leave an awful soot mark on the wall above it. We had to repaint the entire wall to get rid of it. I try very hard to purchase only soot-free candles now to avoid this problem. Candles with more synthetic ingredients are more likely to have candle soot than those made from ingredients like a natural soy.
This candle is a beautiful accent piece for your holiday centerpiece or as a gift idea for the special person in your life. When you’re done burning the candle, place the jar in the freezer overnight to shrink the wax. In the morning, carefully lift the frozen wax from the jar and it will be ready to use as storage for your hair bands or extra lip balm.

This sounds like a really nice candle and Vanilla is my favorite scent. I love that it is 100% natural !
Me too, Dana!
Yikes! I didn’t know candles that aren’t natural can leave soot marks on walls. I got rid of most of mine but kept a few for emergencies and had to use them. I’m buying all natural from now on.
Definitely the way to go!
Nice to know about an alternative to conventional candles (which give me headaches)
Sometimes they do that to me too!
