Laura Mercier Review & Swatches | Watercolour Mist

Last Updated on August 23, 2020 by Ellen Christian

It’s no secret that I’m in love with Laura Mercier Cosmetics. They are definitely one of my favorite brands so when I learned I’d be able to share another Laura Mercier review with you I was thrilled! The latest product I received is the Laura Mercier Watercolour Mist Eye & Cheek Palette which is part of the Watercolour Clouds Collection that just hit makeup counters in January.

The mood for the new spring collection is quiet and relaxed with the hopes that the soft, muted and peaceful shades in the collection bring you calm, serenity and balance. This is a limited edition collection and will only be available at makeup counters until mid February. Do NOT wait on this one. Get it now.

The Collection includes the Watercolour Mist Eye and Cheek Palette that I’m reviewing here as well as Paint Wash Liquid Lip Colour, Full Blown Volume Suprême Mascara, Crème Smooth Lip Colour, Crème Eye Liner and Angled Eye Liner Brush. The palette is limited edition as I mentioned but the other items in the collection and permanent.

The Watercolour Mist Eye and Cheek Palette contains six Matte Sateen Eye Colours, a brand new formula for Laura Mercier, and two cheek colours. Shades included are:

  • Eyes (Mist, Fog, Storm, Wind, Purple Rain, Cloud)
  • Cheeks (Sunset, Earth)

The first thing that I noticed about this palette is the texture on top of the case. You can actually feel the “raindrops” and that really adds so much for me. Laura Mercier always has top notch products and this is no exception.

The colors inside are very soft tons and pastels. This is perfect for my complexion and a great choice for spring where many choose pastels to wear. Sunset is a great choice for a blush although I needed to use a very light hand when applying. Earth was a tad too warm for my complexion but might work as a bronzer in the middle of the summer.

I love the eye shadow colors and while I don’t wear a lot of green, I can definitely incorporate these with some soft greys for a smokey look.  The Wind, Purple Rain and Fog will definitely get the most use from me.

I love the way these colors wear. I had no need to touch up any of the colors and saw no creasing with any of the eye shadows while wearing a primer (which I always wear). If you’re looking for a great soft eye and cheek palette for spring, the Watercolour Mist Eye and Cheek Palette from Laura Mercier is exactly what you need.

  1. My oldest daughter would love the  Laura Mercier Palette, the colors are so pretty. Her complexion is very bright and from the looks of the palette they have a lot of soft tone colors that would blend well with her skin.

  2. These colors are beautiful and I love how they all compliment each other!  I have not used colors like this since I was younger but this makes me want to give it another try!
