How to Rock the Teal Fashion Trend

Last Updated on July 9, 2021 by Ellen Christian

Limpet Shell is one of the Pantone color fashion trends for spring 2016.  I don’t know about you but, to me, Limpet Shell looks surprisingly like teal with a fancy name. Since I’m a huge fan of the color teal, I started searching for ways I could wear the teal fashion trend this year. I know that I already have a pretty teal necklace, but I could use a few more accent pieces.

You can enjoy the teal fashion trend without going all out and dying your hair teal and dressing head to toe in the color. While I love wearing bold colors, I tend to do them in smaller bursts rather than all over color. I think this outfit is cute without being too extreme:

You could easily dress up this teal fashion trend casual look by swapping out heels for the grey round toe lace up boots. Instead of a comfortable pair of slim boyfriend jeans, try a pair of black skinny jeans or leggings with high heel boots.

Other hot colors according to Pantone for Spring 2016 include Rose Quartz, Peach Echo, Serenity, Snorkel Blue, Buttercup, Lilac Grey, Fiesta, Iced Coffee, and Green Flash. I don’t see a lot of those colors that I can pull off well since I avoid orange, yellow and bright green. I am looking forward to Snorkel Blue, Lilac Grey, and Iced Coffee. I’m fairly certain I have a few of these items in my closet already. If not, I’ll be looking for some fashion accessories to add some color to my traditional colors.

Will you be rocking the teal fashion trend this year?

  1. Teal has always been one of my favorite colors – I tend towards the brighter end of the color spectrum. It’s great shade to add a wonderful pop of color from head to toe.
