From Casual to Dressy

Last Updated on December 29, 2017 by Ellen Christian

I don’t often get the chance to dress up. Most days you will find me in jeans or casual pants. For me, fashion is less about dressing up and more about being stylish in what you feel most comfortable in. I work at home and live in a small town. You just won’t find the outfits you see in big cities where I live. No one grocery shops in 3″ heels or picks up their kids wearing the latest runway styles. Fashion should be both style and comfort.

  1. I agree, fashion should be comfortable, but also something you feel good in. Confidence is the best style accessory!

  2. I totally agree…and I live in a big city! I love being stylish but I won’t give up comfort just to look good. I think comfort & style go hand in hand. I like being casual and I actually love your first outfit photo…I have a similar top that is burnt orange…so comfy & cute! When I get dressed up, I still want to feel comfy so if I have to wear dressy shoes I try to go with wedges instead of heels. 🙂

  3. I have to confess that I love my casual clothes but do enjoy dressing up as well for special events. I love your blue dress and I absolutely love that donkey. He goes so well with that casual outfit your wearing in the first photo. 🙂

  4. I dress casually unless the occasion calls for something dressier. Most days I’m at work and I wear skinny jeans and a basic top accented with jewelry and bright makeup. Fancier clothes would not be practical for my job.
