I remember that my Mom wore Naturalizer shoes when I was younger. They were serviceable and comfortable but not what I considered stylish. When I was asked to attend a Google Hangout with David Bromstad and Naturalizer, I wasn’t sure what to expect.

Bromstad for Naturalizer Collection

David Bromstad hosts Color Splash on HGTV where he breathes new life into boring rooms. He creates beautiful, unique designs that play off color, and I have always loved his creativity.

I took a quick look at the Bromstad for Naturalizer Collection and instantly fell in love with the bright, vibrant colors and fun designs. This collection is nothing like the Naturalizer shoes that my mother wore when I was a child.  I could easily see myself incorporating them into many different summer outfits. David Bromstand describes this collection as:

It’s fun, fresh and feels like summer. The floral painting brings together roses from a New England garden and a tropical hibiscus from Florida. It’s north meets south—an unexpected twist.”

What shoes are part of the David Bromstad Naturalizer Collection?

His new collection includes both shoes and bags. Shoe styles include flats, sneakers, flip flops, and wedges, and they are all inspired by his gorgeous designs seen above. I had a very difficult time choosing which product I wanted to receive.

They were all so cute and fashion-forward! I decided that I really needed some fun new sandals.  Since orchid is the 2014 color of the year, I really wanted an item that I could wear with a lot of different colors including orchid.  I chose the Bromstad Harsta thong style sandal in a blue floral print because of its versatility.

Since it is still quite cool here in Vermont, I paired these sandals with jeans and a short sleeved top. I know that once the weather warms up, I will be able to wear them with shorts or a summer dress as well.

I know it has to warm up one of these days, right? Bromstad for Naturalizer shoes and handbags are available for purchase at Naturalizer stores and on Naturalizer.com.

  1. I think I have more pairs of Naturalize shoes than any other brand. I am all about comfort. I’m such a fan of David Bromstad and am sure to be picking up a pair from his collection. I might just have to copy you and get those sandals. They are super cute!

  2. What a wonderful  collection, LOVE the vibrant colors! They make me happy just looking at them, can’t wait to try them on!

  3. You’re right… not the Naturalizer that I remember growing up. If I recall correctly, they had a lot of variety of color… all shades of brown. These are much better!

  4. Oh I love the print on these but can’t do the between the toe weggie! It always bothers me so I guess the other styles would work. Real cute styles. We wear sandals year round here so love to check them all out.
