There are many beauty benefits of Vitamin C although when most people hear Vitamin C, they think of immune system support. Whenever I feel a cold coming on, I always make sure that I take extra Vitamin C to try to stay healthy. While Vitamin C is a great way to boost your immune system, there are also many beauty benefits of Vitamin C you should be aware of as well. Product has been provided. Beauty Benefits of Vitamin C
What does Vitamin C do for your face? Vitamin C creates and maintains the collagen in your skin. Collagen gives your skin its strength and elasticity. As you lose collagen as part of the aging process, it’s the reason your skin loses elasticity and firmness and develops wrinkles. I’m getting closer and closer to 50 every day and more wrinkles are not something that I need.
- Vitamin C promotes hair health. One of the signs of Vitamin C deficiency is dry and splitting hair.
- Vitamin C promotes nail growth because it makes skin, connective tissue, bones, and blood vessel walls stronger.
- Vitamin C helps heal wounds. This includes the healing of scar tissues.

How to get Vitamin C
There are a number of different ways you can get more Vitamin C in your diet. You can eat more foods that contain Vitamin C like oranges, mandarins, strawberries, kale, and red peppers. Did you think only citrus fruits contain Vitamin C? You’d be wrong. There are 9 foods that have more Vitamin C than oranges.
Another option is by taking a supplement. You can find them in tablet, capsule, or gummy form. I have a horrible time swallowing pills so I always choose a gummy Vitamin C like Sundown Naturals. I also appreciate that the Sundown Natural Vitamin C gummies are gluten free which means that my daughter can also use them. There are no artificial flavors, sweeteners or preservatives either.
Of course, you can also use beauty products that contain Vitamin C in them. There are several good quality Vitamin C serums on the market to choose from. You can also look for a Vitamin C serum for hair if that’s a concern.

That’s great to know, Ashley!
I’m such a cheapie and cut my Vit C horse pill into thirds, ha ha. Even before I was a nurse I was pill cutting though. Saved a ton on my Yorkie’s heart pills since the higher dose was cheaper. Anyway, your body can’t adsorb that high amount and you just flush it away so why not save. That said, I love gummies and have sampled a few. I like the powdered Vitamin C too. I love the double C serum I use on my face as well. Yep, C is my friend. Oh and the big 5-0 is not that scary. It’s just a number and attitude is everything!
