Simple Tips To Do An At Home Blowout

Last Updated on October 18, 2020 by Ellen Christian

Years ago, I had a blowout at a salon while I was visiting Chicago. It isn’t the type of salon we have here in Vermont, but it was an experience that I really enjoyed. Even though I can’t easily have it done at a salon today, I can do an at home blowout that’s very similar.  I have received product for this post. Simple Tips To Do An At Home Blowout

A blowout really consists of four simple steps: cleanse, condition, protect, and blowout or style. The products you choose for your at home blowout are very important. You want to choose hair care products that will help control your hair while protecting from heat damage.

To do an at home blowout, follow these simple tips:

Section and Detangle

Separate clean, damp hair into easy to manage sections. Use your fingers to detangle each section and then apply Blow-Out Creme.

Blow Dry

Use the brush to pull your hair upward as you direct the airflow down towards the roots. The Blow Out Creme makes your brush glide easier and improves control. For more body, create finger curls and then pin into place. To save time on the back section, run a flat paddle brush through your hair. It doesn’t have to be perfect. The styled crown section will fall over it.

Frizz-Free Finish

Lock in your style by switching to a cool setting. This will close the cuticles and amp up shine. Remove the clips and use your fingers to loosen the curls. Now, you’re ready to rock your frizz-free blowout!

SheaMoisture Argan Oil & Almond Milk Smooth & Tame hair care helps combat unruly frizz and flyaways, while protecting hair against thermal damage caused by heat styling. The collection is ideal for all hair types and textures.

  1. I live about 90 miles away from Chicago. The guy who does my hair used to work @ the most affluent part of Chicago. Whenever he does a blowout on my hair I can never do it that way myself. What you wrote about the products is so important. I didn’t want to go through the expense of buying them but found that if I do I can at least come close to what he does.
