Shopping is fun. It’s one of the things that I enjoy doing most when I have a few extra dollars to spend. I do worry about what the impact of my spending is on my carbon footprint. It’s important to check and see what materials your clothes are made of and what country your outfit was made in. While I cannot always find eco-friendly materials and products that have been made in the USA, when I can I’m thrilled. Finding clothes that are eco-friendly AND made in the USA is even better.

My Style: Showing My Eco Friendly Style
Founded in 2008, Dirtball makes only 100% eco-friendly, 100% made in the U.S.A. clothes. All of their polyester comes from recycled water bottles and their cotton comes straight from the cutting room floor. All of their products are made in the U.S.A. and all are made from recycled cotton or recycled polyester (water bottles) or both. They support their community with local skate, mountain bike and BMX tours and by giving to various local and national charities like 1% For The Planet, Habitat for Humanity and The Children’s Security Blanket.
Right now, Dirtball needs YOUR help. They are trying to launch a new product: The Green Jean. If their goals are met they will sustain approximately 25 U.S. manufacturing jobs for 2 months, recycle thousands of water bottles and save hundreds of barrels of crude oil just from the Green Jean alone.
Dirtball needs to raise $40,000 in the next 20+ days to fund this project through Kickstarter. You can donate as little as $1.00 or as much as you like to help out. There are gifts to thank you at each level – like the super cute tee I’m wearing above in my style photo. Click to see more information or to donate today. Help everyone find their eco friendly style.
