What are the best purse-friendly accessories to keep in your handbag? I like to keep a few small essentials with me so I can freshen up, fix little beauty emergencies, or simply make a busy day a little easier.

Of course, space in my purse is limited, so anything I carry regularly needs to earn its spot. From portable fragrance and lip treatments to a few practical everyday essentials, these are some of my favorite purse-friendly finds.

Table of Contents
Luseta Glow Ritual Hair & Body Mist Set
Fragrance is one of the easiest ways to freshen up during the day, but carrying a large perfume bottle isn’t always practical. The Luseta Glow Ritual Hair & Body Mist Set gives you a lighter fragrance option that can be used on both your hair and body.
Hair and body mists are especially convenient when you want something you can use for a quick refresh without carrying several separate products. Tuck one into your handbag for work, travel, dinner out, or any time you want a little fragrance boost.

TOCCA Laila Solid Perfume
If you’re worried about a perfume bottle leaking or breaking inside your favorite handbag, solid perfume is a wonderful alternative.
The TOCCA Laila Solid Perfume comes in a portable balm format designed to slip into a bag or pocket. Laila combines citrus with toasted vanilla, soft florals, white woods and golden amber for a warm gourmand fragrance. TOCCA also includes a vegan suede pouch with the solid perfume, which makes it even nicer for carrying in your purse. TOCCA
Glide a little onto your wrists, neck or other pulse points whenever you want to refresh your fragrance. There’s no glass perfume bottle or liquid to worry about spilling, which is exactly what I want from a purse-friendly fragrance.

grace & stella De-Puffing Eye Elixir
Long days can leave the area around your eyes looking tired, which makes the grace & stella De-Puffing Eye Elixir another handy addition to a beauty bag.
Its compact size makes it easy to keep close at hand when you’re traveling, heading to work, or going directly from daytime errands to evening plans.
I particularly like small beauty products like this because they don’t take up much space. Keep your eye elixir with your other miniature beauty essentials in a small zippered pouch so you can find everything quickly.
grace & stella Brightening Eye Balm
Another option from grace & stella is the Brightening Eye Balm. A portable balm is especially convenient when you don’t want to carry jars, bottles and a collection of applicators everywhere you go.
Keep it in your handbag for those times when you want to give the eye area a quick refresh. It’s an easy addition to a small cosmetics pouch and doesn’t require much precious purse space.

Surface Deep Anti-Odorant Wipes
Sometimes the most useful thing in your handbag isn’t glamorous at all.
Surface Deep Anti-Odorant Wipes are an easy item to keep on hand when you’re away from home and want to freshen up. Individually packaged or portable personal-care products are particularly helpful for long workdays, travel, warm weather, or unexpected plans after work.
They’re also much more practical to carry around than another full-size personal-care product.

Osmosis Quench Nourishing Lip Oil
Lip products are among the few beauty essentials that almost always earn a permanent place in my purse.
Osmosis Quench Nourishing Lip Oil ($26) is a glide-on lip treatment and gloss that provides hydration along with a glossy finish. The formula includes ingredients such as kelp, oat and green tea along with nourishing oils, and it’s available in five shades.
It’s small enough to keep handy whenever your lips feel dry or you want to add a little shine without carrying an entire makeup bag.
Osmosis Repair Lip Therapy
For another purse-friendly lip option, Osmosis Repair Lip Therapy ($34) combines hydration with a subtle glossy finish and a touch of color.
The lightweight formula is available in Naturale and Blush, making it an easy option when you want something that provides both lip care and a little polish while you’re away from home.
If you tend to carry several lipsticks, glosses and balms around with you, a multitasking product can also help cut down on handbag clutter.

828 Aroma She’s So Vanilla Solid Perfume
Solid fragrance deserves more than one spot on this list because it’s such a convenient alternative to carrying glass fragrance bottles.
The 828 Aroma She’s So Vanilla Solid Perfume is a stick-style fragrance that combines vanilla bean and vanilla orchid with bergamot, coconut and musk. The solid format is designed to be portable and avoids the spilling and breaking concerns that come with traditional perfume bottles.
Small Zippered Pouch
Once you’ve gathered your smaller purse-friendly accessories, give them a home of their own.
A small zippered cosmetic pouch keeps lip products, fragrance, wipes and other tiny necessities from disappearing into the bottom of your handbag. It’s also much easier to move one pouch from purse to purse than it is to remember a dozen individual items every time you change bags.
Choose a washable pouch if you can. Makeup and beauty products have a way of making a mess eventually!
Compact Mirror
Even if you rarely carry a full makeup bag, a compact mirror is worth finding room for.
It’s useful for checking your lipstick, fixing your hair, looking for something in your eye, or doing a quick makeup touch-up when there isn’t a convenient mirror nearby.
Look for a slim compact rather than a bulky decorative one if purse space is limited.
Foldable Reusable Shopping Bag
One of the most practical accessories in my purse isn’t a beauty product at all.
A foldable reusable shopping bag takes up very little room when folded and can be surprisingly useful. Pull it out for an unexpected grocery stop, a thrift-store find, farmers market purchases, or anything that won’t comfortably fit in your regular handbag.
Some fold into their own tiny attached pouch, which makes them especially convenient for everyday carrying.
A Few More Purse Essentials Worth Considering
If you have a little extra room, there are a few other small items worth considering. A slim portable phone charger can be invaluable on a long day. A short charging cable, a couple of hair ties, a nail file, tissues, a stain-remover wipe and a pen take up very little room but can solve surprisingly annoying problems when you’re away from home.
The trick isn’t to carry everything you might someday need. Choose the purse-friendly accessories that solve the problems you actually encounter and periodically clean out anything you haven’t used.

One More Fragrance Tip for Your Vanity
While I love the convenience of a solid perfume for my handbag, I also love having a beautiful full-size fragrance bottle waiting on my vanity.
I’ve really enjoyed exploring TOCCA fragrances, and Florence is one of my personal favorites. It’s a sophisticated floral with bergamot, pear, gardenia, violet, jasmine and blonde wood notes. TOCCA currently offers Florence in full-size Eau de Parfum as well as travel and solid formats. TOCCA
If you discover that you love TOCCA through one of its purse-friendly fragrances, take a look at the full-size collection for your vanity, too. The bottles are beautiful enough to display, and Florence is the one I’d recommend exploring first if you enjoy elegant floral fragrances.
What Should You Keep in Your Purse?
The best purse-friendly accessories are small, useful and easy to reach when you need them. A solid fragrance, lip treatment, freshening wipes and a few practical essentials can prepare you for most everyday situations without weighing down your handbag.
Just remember that you don’t need to carry your entire bathroom cabinet with you. Pick a handful of favorites, keep the smallest items together in a pouch, and you’ll have a much more organized handbag.
