I have to admit that one of my weaknesses is eye shadow. I love having a variety of different eye shadow shades available to me. While I love playing with different colors, my choices tend to be soft, subtle or neutral shades. As much as I love the bright, bold colors, they are not my choices for eye shadow. I love the soft pastels with a hint of shimmer or neutral colors that will bring out the blue in my eyes.
Clarins Colour Quartet 10 Celestial For Eyes
In the world of make up, there are a few brands that stand out for me. Clarins is one of the best. Not only is the Clarins 10 Colour Quartet For Eyes Celestial boxed, the compact comes in the Clarins signature red velvet bag. The oval shaped compact includes a mirror on top and an eye shadow brush along with four shades (pastel pink, purple, gold and green). You can see the swatches below.
Each of the four shades included has a slight shimmer to it. They are pastel so the intent is not bright, eye popping color. I used two coats on top of an eyelid primer and was quite happy with the color and shimmer I got from this eye shadow compact. You can use the colors together easily pairing the pink and purple or the green and gold. I love they way they look alone on my eyes. It’s just a hint more color than a neutral without going overboard. The shadows lasted on my lid for about four or five hours. Since we’re in the middle of a heat wave right now, I consider this very good.
Since Clarins products last forever, I know I will be enjoying this one for quite a while.

Light color palettes such as this are great for cover up and blending, or for a light Summer look. I really like how the light green illuminates!
I love those colors. They are colorful but are still neutral enough to not make me look like a clown.

Looks like a great palette to have for summer! I’ve never tried Clarins makeup (love their skincare!), but I have my eye on a gorgeous bronzer from them. Good to know the makeup is great! 🙂
